Description

From left to richt: Montes Recti, Montes Teneriffe and the bright ons: Mons PicoMontes Teneriffe is made up of a group of mountain peaks and is located south-west of Plato. The average height of the peaks is 2.4 km. The largest and longest member runs nearly east-west direction. One member peak can cast a very long and pointed shadow under oblique illumination. Mons Pico is an isolated mountain east of Montes Teneriffe. Together with Montes Recti, they form the existing part of the inner ring of Imbrium basin. Though the peak of Mons Pico is only about 2.4 km high, it casts a very long shadow when near sunrise and sunset.
